Our Federal income tax refund should be in our bank by February 23rd. Our state refund should be in our account by Monday. Perfect timing, if you ask me. The state refund is going right to the electric company so that our electric doesn’t get shut off. I REALLY hope our Federal refund is in by the [...] I’m not going to say a single thing about the massive amount of snow that we’ve gotten lately, except to say that if my surgery is canceled on Thursday due to the latest storm that’s hitting us right now, people in Japan will be able to hear the nuclear explosion of my brain as my [...] I got my W-2 last week, as did hubby. I bought my tax software, and promptly set about trying to estimate what we’re going to get back. If I figured things out correctly, we’re going to be getting back a nice chunk of change! Of course, I’ve pretty much got it spent already: A shiny new netbook [...] I can’t believe that my alarm clock will be going off in less than seven hours. The Christmas holiday has come and gone, and it’ll be time to head back to the wonderful world of real life in a few short hours. We had a marvelous Christmas holiday. Christmas Eve, we headed over to have our [...] Today is turning into the day from hell. I had to scramble to transfer money over to our one checking account to pay two past due bills. Our cable got cut off, even though I told the woman that called me last week that I wouldn’t be able to pay the past due balance until TOMORROW. The to do list that I mentioned in my last entry is actually working out pretty well. I pulled out one of my many lined journals and starts writing things out, and I came up with quite a list of things to do. Measure my desk. I need to make sure that the new desk I’m [...] I just got off the phone with hubby a little while ago. I didn’t get to see him before he went to work, as he had a meeting before his shift and had to leave the house before I got home. The meeting…wasn’t good. Well, at least…he’s still got a job. His company, so as to not [...] You hear about it every day…there’s places all over the internet and TV that will give you cash for gold and silver jewelry and other items.
