You know your hair is getting really thin when even your completely oblivious husband does a double-take in your direction and says, “Honey, is your hair falling out in the front? Is something wrong? I can see your scalp from over here!” He’s lucky he didn’t get punched in the nose. So not, I’m not just [...] Ugh. I feel like someone’s walked across my stomach wearing a pair of high-heeled christian louboutin shoes. My surgery last Thursday took a lot out of me, and I so wasn’t prepared to return to work today. The surgery itself went fine, except that I ended up spending more time in recovery than expected because [...] Hubby and I had a nice time at my parents’ house this past weekend. The only bad part of the weekend was the wind, which tossed us around like rag dolls all day. I used up more gas on the drive up, since I had to fight the wind. Getting into my parents’ development was [...] Ugh. It’s been a rough morning already. Hubby and I both had to get blood drawn this morning, so he got me up out of bed after he got home from work and took a shower. I woke up with a throbbing headache, and I felt like I had been taking a sat prep course [...] I’m feeling pretty damn awful today. We have a huge job in the shop, and I was drafted to collate yesterday. I haven’t said anything to my boss about the extent of my shoulder problems, as I’m not really ready to disclose exactly how badly it’s damaged…but the fact is, I shouldn’t be collating. The repetitive movement [...] I got the results of last Saturday’s MRI on Monday. Actually, I could’ve gotten them on Saturday, but I can’t read films…I brought them home with me to give to my doctor. Hubby dropped them off for me on Monday morning, as he had a doctor’s appointment himself in the same building as my doctor. Basically, [...] Wow. It’s been a while, I know. Life’s kinda…sucked lately, for lack of a better explanation. I’ve been back and forth between the doctor’s, the physical therapist’s, and radiology more times than I care to count. I’ve been poked, prodded, manipulated, ultrasounded, electrically stimulated…no, it’s NOT as fun as it sounds!…MRI’ed, drugged up…you name it, [...] I’ve spent the last few days…between work, naps, and doctor’s visits…going through tons of old paperwork in an effort to thin things down and clean out some crap. Old newspapers, magazines, medical records, insurance forms, auto insurance quotes, and other assorted papers have either gone into the trash or straight into the shredder. It’s amazing the [...] |
