Wow. For some reason, my body thinks it’s a Friday, because I have been super duper productive since I got home from work this afternoon! It’s always nice when I get out of work early on such a beautiful day, even though I don’t get paid for the hours I’m losing. Luckily, hubby’s picked up overtime to make up for what I lose.
When I got home, I found a box waiting for me on my doormat. It was the box I was talking about earlier. Thankfully, UPS decided to be nice and left it without a signature. Granted, I could tell the delivery guy didn’t even bother coming all of the way up the stairs, as the box was leaning cockeyed against the wall, which means he tossed it up the stairs from the second landing.
Good thing it wasn’t marked FRAGILE! Not that that means anything to UPS, mind you.
I was pleasantly surprised to find much more in the box than I expected, and only one thing was missing, which I have to email the shop owner about. Eh, shit happens. Hopefully I can get the missing item with a minimum of fuss.
After I was done going through the box, I finally decided it was high time to put the lid back on my computer and hook up my label printer. I got all of that done, although I had to fight with the lid again, as it doesn’t like to fit the case properly. I have three heavy books stacked on top of the front of it, as it’s sticking up a bit, and I’m hoping the weight might flatten it back out.
Once hubby left for work, I had a leftover stuffed pork chop with some Cajun rice for dinner, then I set about collecting all of the miscellaneous trash from the apartment. How two people can generate so much trash is beyond me. I tossed a load of hubby’s clothes in the wash, put three loads away, and folded and bagged up all of the clothes that I’d pruned from my side of the closet a couple of weeks ago.
I just got done paying bills and ordering some stuff from Puritan’s Pride…hubby takes a magnesium oxide supplement to help him with his adhesion pain, and he needs a new bottle. They’re much cheaper online, and Puritan was having a sale, buy 1, get 2 free. Score!
I also got the office cleaned up a little bit more. I need to run the Roomba in here in the worst way…there’s cat litter EVERYWHERE.
Hell, I even keep finding cat litter in my BED. What’s wrong with that picture?
