Talk about a wonderful feeling. Hubby and I got so much accomplished this weekend. In fact, I said to him that what we got done was the most we’ve been able to get done in a long time.
And then he got called into work. Heh.
The C shift supervisor called around 7:30 last night, wondering why hubby hadn’t yet shown up for his overtime shift. Hubby was incensed, because his normal supervisor had told him the other day that all overtime for the weekend had been canceled. It hadn’t, and luckily the C shift supervisor is a nice guy, so he told hubby he’d write a note so that hubby wouldn’t get dinged for being late, especially since it wasn’t his fault.
Unfortunately, hubby had been up ALL DAY. To say he wasn’t happy was a bit of an understatement.
This weekend was good for me. It looks like I don’t need a diet pill that works…since we sweated our collective butts off moving furniture around the apartment and rearranging things…I lost two more pounds. I have no idea…it’s not like I’m watching what I’m eating, unless you count me watching the food that’s on my fork as it makes its way to my mouth…
I ended up working less than a half-day today, which was perfect, as hubby’s car was in the shop, so we were able to pick it up and get back home before rush hour traffic hit this afternoon. His brakes are now nice and quiet, and it only cost us $70. I can certainly handle that…the problems weren’t anything major, thankfully…the brakes just needed to be lubricated and the rear drums shaved down a bit to remove the glazing.
Hubby’s passed out on the futon again, and I’ve been getting a lot of computer work done, paying bills and whatnot.
It’s been a good few days. Let’s hope the trend continues.

Baby Sis I’m so glad you’re doing well! Did you ever get a chance to look at Laurie Notaro’s books? It’s been a long week down here in Texas. Oy.
