This weekend totally kicked ass. My parents rule. How many kids can say that?
Friday night after work I just chilled out. Hubby went out and I watched the 2001 Winston Cup awards ceremony. I went to bed before he got home.
Saturday, I went up to the folks’ and Mom and I went shopping. Dad was out being the man and hunting deer. Mom and I got some major Christmas shopping done. Once everybody got home, Dad and I went to the Flyers’ game.
Ice hockey RULES. And the Flyers managed to pull out a win. My boy Eric Desjardins got his first goal of the season. A beautiful slap shot straight into the net.
And I was on the fan vision screen! Doesn’t get any better than that!
Sunday, more shopping with Mom. Then she cooked her fabulous salmon for dinner. I played a little PlayStation and finally got home around 10:30.
It’s so weird (but awesome)…it seems the older we get, the closer me and my parents get. I think it’s so cool. I love having such an awesome relationship with my parents. And like I said, unfortunately, there are many families that aren’t close, and it’s a shame.
Oh, and only 22 more days until Christmas!!
