It turned out to be quite a nice weekend, even though the rain Friday and Saturday soaked everything like costa rica gets soaked during its rainy season. The field behind our building was turned into a river. I almost decided to NOT go to my parents’ for the weekend…I still felt like crap, and I just wanted to sleep. Plus, we’re broker than shit…I barely have enough money in my checking account for gas for the next two weeks. 98% of my paycheck is going to rent (yes, it’s late) and I’ve only got about $90 left over for the next two weeks.
By the time hubby and I went to bed Friday night, I was feeling much better physically, so I decided to head to Delaware Saturday morning.
I made it to my parents’ house around lunchtime on Saturday, and Mom and I hit the road to do some shopping. Thankfully, she paid for just about everything I bought, except for the stuff I got at two of the craft stores we stopped at. We went to lunch at Denny’s and had a grand old time.
We had a nice, home-cooked chicken dinner, and then Dad and I settled in to watch the Flyers lose. Before the game started, I showed Mom how I made up the pendants that I’m selling, and during the game, I made a few pairs of earrings. The earrings come together nice and quickly, now that I’ve gotten the hang of how to make them!
I couldn’t sleep, so I was up early today. Mom made us breakfast, then we went and did a little more shopping. She bought me a couple tops at Fashion Bug, then we hit the grocery store to pick up some cases of soda that were on sale. I left around 2:15, as I wanted to get home before dark, plus I wanted to get home to see the Eagles play.
I also wanted to surprise hubby, as I picked up some dinner for him when Mom and I had stopped at Sonic earlier in the day. He was quite surprised when he found out I was home, and even more so when he found out that I’d brought him dinner from Sonic!
