I Can Has?

Greetings!

End Of The Christmas Craze.

I can’t believe that my alarm clock will be going off in less than seven hours.  The Christmas holiday has come and gone, and it’ll be time to head back to the wonderful world of real life in a few short hours.

We had a marvelous Christmas holiday.  Christmas Eve, we headed over to have our annual dinner and gift exchange with the boy’s parents.  The nephew stopped by for a bit…he’s coming over sometime this week so that we can exchange presents…and we sat around the dinner table catching up.  We had also brought our youngest cat with us for a visit, and she had a grand old time exploring the new surroundings.  Surprisingly, she didn’t bother the Christmas tree at all, although she did somehow manage to turn on the light up house that started speaking!

Hubby and I got home around 11, and after doing a few things around the house, we cuddled up in bed and managed to sleep in late on Christmas morning.  We got up and exchanged our presents, and then we spent a very relaxing day enjoying each other’s company.

Saturday, I packed up the car and headed to Delaware to celebrate a late Christmas with my Mom and Dad.  After we exchanged gifts, Mom and I headed out to take advantage of the ridiculous sales.  She and I bought a TON of stuff, and I came home from Delaware late Sunday afternoon with a fully loaded car.

I got home in enough time to see the boy before he stumbled off to work.  I’ve been taking it easy all night…my left shoulder is aching from all the driving I did over the weekend, and the arthritis in my hands has flared up enough to be annoying..  I’ve been checking out fitness equipment online, as hubby and I might buy ourselves an elliptical when we get our income tax return next year.

Gah, I can’t believe I’m thinking about our taxes already.  Mom and I were even talking about it on Saturday when we were at lunch…she’s hoping that they’re going to get back a sizable amount of money, due in part to all of her medical bills from her cancer treatments.

I’m just hoping we get enough back to pay off one of my credit cards and to get the netbook that I want
