I Can Has?

Greetings!

Home Sweet Home.

I’ve just driven 400+ miles in the space of 24 hours.

God help me, my ass hurts.

It all started Friday…

Got out of work at two, ran home to pick up the boy and M, got gas and then headed up to Philly to see the Phantoms play against the Hamilton Bulldogs. Home opener in the Whacky Shack, baby!

I took the digital camera with me and snapped 392 pictures. Yes, a lot. I know. I have a lot of pics to go through. Mmm, hockey boys.

The Phantoms won 5-3. Our defense was shaky, but Patrick Sharp made everything okay. He’s stepping up for the Phantoms…he was hoping to make the Flyers team this season, but with the lockout, he’s giving his all to the Phantoms. Anything to play in Philly!

Speaking of Philly, the Phantoms have the first Philly born and bred player on the team…Tony Voce. He sealed the win with the last goal in the last few minutes. Scrappy players, all over the ice, handles the puck well. He had his own fan club there…and half of them were sitting in our section a few rows up.

Oh, yeah…then there’s the fact that we were SEVEN ROWS OFF THE ICE. S E V E N. OMG. It was fucking awesome.

After the game, we stopped off at my folks’ place so M could see the rents, since she hadn’t seen them in a few years. We stayed for about 45 minutes and then hit the road, getting home a little bit after 1 am.

I was back on the road by 10 am…hit the banks and then headed back up to Philly for Mother Daughter bonding. The boy had to work tonight, which meant he was going to be in bed most of the day, so I figured I’d go up and spend some alone time with the Mothership.

We hit the mall and did some shopping, then headed out to Wal*Mart and blew more cash. Mom started her Christmas shopping and bought the boy and I some presents. Then we headed out to one of our favorite restaurants, a little place called The Crossroads, over in Delaware. We had a nice dinner and then came home and hung out. I left there around 11 and got home about an hour ago. I’m tired as shit.

I’ve got so much to do tomorrow….unfortunately, the boy will be sleeping most of the day, so I have to try and keep the screaming down to a minimum. Kinda sucks, because I have so much laundry to do!!
