Couldn’t sleep last night. Yesterday was kind of bad. We had division semi-finals for 9-ball last night, and we got our asses handed to us. Sheesh. I really don’t think our hearts were into it. I am looking forward to next session though. We’ll be shooting for a new bar that is nice and quiet and actually has a KITCHEN!
Hubby is going into week two of the Verizon strike. I’m getting nervous, because I make nowhere near what he does. I don’t know how long we can survive on one paycheck, and it’s not looking like the strike is going to end anytime soon. I REALLY hope I’m wrong.
*sigh*
Well, here I sit at work, bored off my bum. The press is humming away, but I have no graphical work whatsoever. I hate being bored. Um, well, ok. I hate being bored AT WORK. So what the heck, I figured I’d work on my little ‘ole boring homepage, attempting to hone my skills at html editing and my graphical capabilities.
*sigh*
I need to go back to school. It would be great if I could learn how to use real graphical design programs, like Photoshop and the rest. I also want to learn flash and all the nifty web stuff. And I’m a graphic designer? Yeah, I am. I’m really good at winging it!
Ok, so I’m mediocre at best. But I try like hell. I don’t have a degree. Never went to school for any of this stuff. I think I’m getting by pretty darn good, if you ask me!
Meanwhile, the boss is out of the office on deliveries and I sit and play yukon solitaire on iwin.com.
I wish I was home. Hubby is there, on strike from Verizon since this past Sunday.
*sigh*
At least the apartment is cleaner than normal.
Well, as it turns out, all three of the teams I play on have made Tier-2 playoffs. Tuesday and Thursday got in on the wildcard. What a trip!
Hehehe…I was reading some archives from long ago. Yeah, 9-ball is my game. Yeah, right. Not this session, anyways!
Played my last Thursday night match, for at least the next session or two. Played the first match, beat another long-established 3 2-0, in 9 innings. And once again, I was the only one that won. Does make me 7-1 on Thursdays for the session, though. *grin*
Sunday team took sixth place, so we play next Sunday for Tier-2 playoffs. I just might cry if, after two years, I don’t get a trophy! 
Tuesday night I beat a well-established 3 2-0, in 7 innings. I just went out and played like I was possessed. Ok, so I really want to be a 4! My 9-ball game has fallen to hell, this session I’ve only won one match. *Shrug*. My 8-ball record is great….I’m 6-1 on Thursdays, and 5-2 on Tuesdays (I think!). I was on the underrated write up sheet for the past session, and I haven’t been moved up to a 4 yet!
My last ever match for Pleasant Inn is tonight. And we’re playing away. Pleasant is closing as of the end of this month (oh, my heart breaks…NOT!). My Sunday team is going to The Dug Out and Tuesday we’re moving to a little place called Bottoms Up. I’m excited for the next session to start….this session was BAD, all our teams did bad (except for my Sunday team, of course!) A lot of people on Sunday and Tuesday didn’t like the bar we were playing for, so the move should help!
Went to pool last night for the first time since breaking my right wrist in the wee hours of last Sunday morning.
Weeellllll….let’s see.
8-ball break #4 in a practice game against one of the cockiest bastards on our team. A 2-0 shutout in my match, making me 5-0 on Thursdays so far this session.
I think I may just have to keep this cast on!
On Saturday the 3rd, we had Round 1 of the Tri-Annuals. We won rather handily and went back at 6pm for Round 2. There, we got handed our asses. *Shrug* I’m still very proud of my guys. This is the farthest any of our teams have made it. It just keeps getting better!
Joe is all happy…he’s a 6 in 9-ball now. Played his first match on the 4th against a 6, and won rather well. He’s very proud of himself, as am I. Now, if only I would move up to a four!
To say I’m extremely proud of my Sunday 9-ball team is a bit beyond the pale. Saturday was the division finals, and we were facing the one team the beat us TWICE this session.
Well, third time IS a charm!!

I’ve got three guys on my team who’ve never gotten trophies before. I’m so excited. These are the best group of guys…and the best team I’ve ever had.
Now, on to the Tri-Annuals!
